City of Caledonia issued the following announcement on Jan. 21.
The City of Caledonia is seeking a manger for the Caledonia Aquatic Center for the 2020 summer pool season (June-August). Base wage is $12.50/hour for this seasonal position. Additional pay of $1.00/hour for WSI certification; additional $.25/hour for every year of experience managing a pool or lifeguarding (up to eight years). The manager must have a high school diploma or equivalent and requires first aid and CPR certification as well as certification as lifeguard. Reimbursement available for cost of lifeguard/first aid/CPR and WSI certification courses. The position also requires strong supervisory, leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail. Sample duties include scheduling lifeguards and swimming lessons, verifying water quality, and managing and coordinating operations of the Caledonia Aquatic Center. The manager is expected to work 40+ hours per week.
