CITY OF AUSTIN: The City Of Austin Was Recently Awarded Over $843,000 Of Grants From The Hormel Foundation

City of Austin issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.

The City Council approved this award at the December 2nd council meeting. The projects that these grants funded are listed below. We would like to express our sincere appreciation towards The Hormel Foundation and their generous contributions to the City of Austin and all of the supported agencies as we all strive to make Austin a better place to work, live, and play.

APD – Drone $42,792

Riverside – Ceiling Insulation $150,000

Library – Hot Spots $45,000

Nature Center – Educational Programs $40,000

Park & Rec – Curling Program $20,000

Fire Prevention/Education $5,000

Todd Park Scoreboards $40,486

Quality of Life – Leadership Austin $1,500

Quality of Life – Fireworks $20,000

Quality of Life – Art Works Center $68,799

Bridge Enhancements $350,000

I-90 Welcome Sign $60,000
