Lions Club to Host Senior Citizen Christmas Dinner
Members of the Chatfield Lions Club invite all senior citizens and former residents of the Chosen Valley School District, 70 years of age or older, and their spouses, to attend the Annual Senior Citizen Christmas Dinner. The dinner will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 14th at the Chosen Valley Elementary School in Chatfield. The menu includes turkey, dressing, potatoes, vegetables, cranberries and dessert.
Christmas carols will be sung after the meal and attendance prizes will be awarded. Members of the Chatfield Ambulance Department will be present to do blood pressure checks. Also, the Chatfield Lions will be accepting any unwanted eyeglasses and hearing aids that anyone wishes to bring with them for donation.
There is no charge for this dinner and no RSVP is necessary. If any person is in need of a ride to the dinner, contact the Root River State Bank at 867-4120 prior to December 14th. Lions Club President Bill McMahon encourages all local senior citizens to attend this holiday event, which is being provided as a "thank you" to our senior citizens for their past support of and contributions to, our community.
