City of Chatfield issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.
It is that time of the year again; Fall sports are wrapping up, cool, crisp frosty mornings, and our first Winter Weather Advisory from 6pm tonight until 6am Wednesday morning.....
Two to four inches of snow are expected in the area by morning. And of course, the higher totals are expected south of Interstate 90.
So, for anyone who has forgotten how to drive in the snow, please remember to:
Drive slowly on bridges and overpasses.
Use a safe speed for winter driving conditions, regardless of the posted speed limit.
Keep a safe stopping distance from the vehicle in front of you.
Keep both hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road, and stay alert. This one should be easy; now that holding your phones while driving is illegal.. Original source can be found here.
