Brad Finstad highlights local manufacturing growth and agricultural initiatives

Congressman Brad Finstad, who represents Minnesota’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted local industry and legislative efforts through a series of posts on his social media account.

On September 3, 2025, Finstad visited a major manufacturing facility in Dodge Center, stating: “Southern Minnesota is fortunate to have one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of cement mixers and garbage trucks right here in Dodge Center. I joined @CTMMixers owner, Grant McNeilus, for a tour of their growing operation, now with over 300 employees. We discussed their https://t.co/ugQm6onNzu”.

Later that day, he commented on an official visit by a federal agriculture leader: “It was an honor to welcome @USDA Under Secretary for Trade Luke Lindberg to southern Minnesota this week. I appreciated our discussion on opening new markets, reducing reliance on China, and ensuring Minnesota’s farmers have the certainty and access they need to compete. I’m https://t.co/fyo9VkZITy”.

On September 4, Finstad announced bipartisan legislative action focused on agricultural training: “Proud to join @chelliepingree and @SenTinaSmith in introducing the bipartisan ASPIRE Act, legislation which invests in the next generation of farmers by strengthening resources for hands-on training programs, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local ag businesses. https://t.co/jMImCVht0P”.

Brad Finstad has represented Minnesota’s 1st District since 2022 after succeeding Jim Hagedorn. He previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in New Ulm in 1976 and currently residing there at age 46, Finstad holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.
